Art Walk Edmonds | Molly Hashimoto

Join Seattle artist Molly Hashimoto to celebrate Mt. Rainier with her new book, Mt. Rainier National Park: An Artist’s Tour. She’ll talk briefly about the park’s natural history and the art she has made over many decades and afterwards sign copies of her book. Then you can try out some of the fun materials Molly will bring– including pens, watercolors, watersoluble crayons and watercolor paper.

After listening to Molly speak, enjoy free admission to our new featured exhibition Kenjiro Nomura, American Modernist: An Issei Artist’s Journey. This book comes with a catalog written by Barbara Johns and our Curator David Martin, available the evening of Art Walk Edmonds!

Molly Hashimoto is an artist and author of 3 books, including Colors of the West: An Artist’s Guide to Nature’s Palette, Birds of the West: An Artist’s Guide, in addition to the new book about Mt. Rainier. She is at work on a new book Trees of the West: An Artist’s Guide. She leads plein air painting workshops for North Cascades Institute, Yellowstone Forever Institute and many other organizations.  Her prints and paintings are also published by Pomegranate Communications as notecards, calendars and books.
