Brahms, Gershwin & Debussy

Saturday, October 1st at 6:00 PM

The romantic soaring Brahms Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 2 tops a varied program including the yearning duet Beau Soir by Claude Debussy, music from Porgy & Bess by George Gershwin and pieces by Elgar and Piazzolla.

Violinist Erica Johansen recently soloed with the Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra in Bulgaria, she has performed frequently with orchestras throughout the Northwest and earned her Master in Music at UW.  Erica is currently concertmaster of the Lake Union Civic Orchestra and performs in the new music group Scrape.  She has recorded for artists including Zan Fiskum, Sky Cries Mary, Sera Cahoone, Sufjan Stevens, and Mastodon.

Come enjoy these monthly concerts in our intimate gallery setting surrounded by beautiful art from the Northwest — close-up and personal, as chamber music was originally meant to be experienced.

The concerts are about one-hour in length at 6 PM, leaving you time to dine out after.  Your concert ticket includes admission to all the museum galleries, so make sure you come early to see our current exhibits!
