Cascadia continues our temporary closure under the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order from Governor Inslee. And since you aren’t able to come to the museum right now, we want to bring Cascadia to you.

Over the next few weeks, we will be sending you “virtual visit” videos from our curator, David Martin, and from our volunteer docents describing their favorite works in the museum. We’ll also be sending you video art lessons for learners of all ages because we know that kids at home from school as well as adults at home could use the fun of an art project.

(Pardon the echo, but this is what social distancing sounds like in the museum!)

Museums are always a place of beauty and community. During this especially uncertain and stressful time, we hope that the power of art helps you find comfort and stokes your curiosity.

Keep a lookout for our next video coming to your inbox later this week. Please also consider making a donation to support Cascadia through this difficult time. With the unexpected loss of daily ticket and store revenue due to this closure, we can use any help you can give. Finally, until we’re able to open our doors and welcome you back to Cascadia, stay healthy and thank you for being part of our community.
