Portrait Session with Gary Faigin
Value $1,500
Having a portrait painted is a unique opportunity to see the artist at work while he sketches your portrait in oil on canvas. Gary Faigin does not use photographs. He works directly from you or your loved one as the model. You will see your painting evolve from a charcoal sketch to a quickly rendered painting to take home and hang on your wall.
Because a child younger than six has a difficult time holding still for a portrait session, the subject of the portrait should be six or older.
Faigin is world famous for his landmark book, The Artist’ Complete Guide to Facial Expression. As the artistic director and co-founder of Gage Academy of Art, Faigin enjoys a distinguished career as an art instructor who combines classical principles of fine art, Western art history, unique demonstrations and visually-comprehensive lectures into his studio teaching practice. Faigin taught for many years in the major art school in Manhattan-Art Students League, National Academy of Design School of Art, Parsons School of Design, the School of Visual Concepts, and New York Academy of Art.
