Stop on by the evening of August 15th to watch Lori create floral garden stakes. She will be cutting the glass and preparing it to be fused, here at Cascadia Art Museum.
Lori and her husband have an art studio in Edmonds. Here, they specialize in creating fused and kiln-formed glass artwork. They are primarily inspired by landscaped and vistas from the Puget Sound and all over the world.
The Soderburgs started out creating pottery. They then, transitioned into lamp-worked glass beads, then to blown glass, and finally the fused glass they work on today.
Come in on Thursday, August 15th from 5-8 to watch the master in action. She’ll be starting the process of creating glass garden stakes. She’ll show you how to cut and fuse the pieces. For $20 you can help create your own garden stake. Pieces will then be taken back for firing and be ready in a few days.
So come on in, enjoy the museum at no charge and witness and master working at her craft!
